Visits at Château La Vernède
Although the Château is not open for visiting, visits can be made of the Roman remains, the park, with its fairly unique variety of ancient trees,
and the kitchen garden, with its beautiful greenhouse dating from 1901. Some of the two and a half hectares of buildings open for visiting are the
mule stables, the saddle-horse stables, the saddlery and the forge. Château La Vernède is however first and foremost a winemaking estate.
We would therefore be delighted to show you around the wine-making cellar (one of the largest private cellars in the region, with a capacity
of 30,000 hectolitres spread out over 1,800 m²), the ageing storehouses and the tasting chamber, in which several archaeological finds
are displayed together with a press from the turn of the 15th Century.
Visits and tastings are free. Visit us and browse our whole range of wines to choose one that suits your mood, or even better, give in to the temptation of a whole selection.
